our story
Caspian 1 am began in a rented Lisbon room in 2019 — one desk, one lamp, one promise: to only make work we would want to live with. Six years on, the promise still holds, only now it travels farther.
Works completed
We work slowly. A single portrait can take three days — one for the drawing, one for the washes, one for the small quiet decisions that decide whether a piece lives or dies. There is no shortcut for that patience, and we don’t look for one.
Every finished piece is signed, numbered on the reverse, and photographed under identical light. Prints are made in editions of 50 or fewer on Hahnemühle cotton paper. We ship everything ourselves, from the same studio, in the same flat boxes, with the same handwritten thank-you note.
